In May 2018, community members from the MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players determined they had outgrown their old home at MIT. Recognizing the need for an MBTA-accessible, metro-Boston organization dedicated to performing the musical works of Gilbert & Sullivan, the Savoyards of Boston were founded by a core group of former MITGSP members in August 2018.

The SoBs are a non-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer organization. We provide metro Boston community members and students from all local universities the opportunity to perform imaginative and innovative interpretations of the Gilbert & Sullivan canon and other musical theatre works.
